US exchanges won't list BNB token

With the exception of Binance.US, no one in the U.S. wants to deal with BNB, Binance's token. As a reminder, BNB is the fifth largest coin with a current market cap of $38 billion. Yet Binance has been hit hard in recent weeks, and U.S. exchanges fear that BNB will be viewed as a security, so they simply want to skip the problems with SEC ๐Ÿ˜‡. The parallel with FTX is pronounced, as many fear ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Binance will meet the same fate. FTT was also listed only by FTX.US. You already know what happened next.

Defrost loses $12m in a hack

Another rug pull attack ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ in the DeFi world. This time it's Defrost, Avalance leveraged trading protocol. The attacker managed to steal Defrost Finance owner's private keys and drained a V1 liquidity pool. The hacker used fake collateral to manipulate pricing. A V2 pool suffered a flash loan attack as well. Now the team is willing to negotiate with a hacker and proposes to keep 20% of the funds. No one has yet replied ๐Ÿ’”.

Bitcoin mining hashrate sinks 30%

The snowstorm in the U.S. during Christmas touched the Bitcoin mining industry. The hash rate dropped ๐Ÿ“‰ to 155 EH /s from 230 EH /s. Many Bitcoin mining companies stopped operations and said there would be ups and downs this week. In case you don't know, around 22 people died cause of the winter storm, causing thousands of people and businesses to lose power. So the weather is another brutal ๐Ÿ˜ฑ force against the mining industry.

Yuga hints second trip to the Otherside

Do you remember this summer trip with 5.000 people ๐Ÿฅด simultaneously logged into the Otherside? Yuga says the next trip will happen in March 2023, with more users being able to join. Some new mechanics and experience are promised as well. BAYC holders find themselves in the desert searching for a "glowing, pulsing ๐Ÿคฏ stone." No wonder it would be much more interesting with the new Yuga CEO, Daniel Alegre, coming from the gaming giant Activation Blizzard.

Investors sue Binance.France

15 French investors are suing Binance for pre-registration advertising and distribution services. According to the plaintiffs, Binance.France must repay over 2.4 million euros ๐Ÿ’ธ. This is because before the license was granted in May this year, Binance promoted Terra LUNA in France as a US-backed solid๐Ÿ—ฟtoken that happened to collapse while the French believed Binance and invested in it. However, Binance didn't say that LUNA was safe but emphasized that the exchange was safe, not the listed tokens. And it wasn't even advertised in France, just in worldwide Telegram chats before registration.

Conclusion: So the market hasn't really fluctuated during the holidays, and it's still neutral. On the other hand, weather hit the U.S. hard and hurt the already weak Bitcoin miners. As we can see, attacks on Binance continue to increase. Is this the stress test CZ wanted?
