Where have SBF donations gone?

The White House refuses to comment on SBF's massive 🏦 political donations, and it appears they're well covered. Because of the Hatch Act, they're allowed to keep a low profile and say nothing not to disrupt the institution of politics. This is despite the fact that SBF is accused of 8 different crimes, and the money he donated was probably dirty. To understand how wild 😵‍💫 this is, you need to know that SBF donated about $45.6 million in the months before the FTX collapse, primarily to Democrats. That made SBF the second largest 🔝 donor to Democrats. A few of them gave the money to charity. But most say "no comment" when asked where the SBF donations go and whether they'd give them back.

US senators introduce regulatory bill

With the Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act, Elizabeth Warren and Roger Marshall want to let out all air from the crypto industry. Especially the stinky one 🤢. KYC will be mandatory for wallet providers and miners when it goes into effect. To keep the hate against Tornado Cash, it also mentions that financial institutions will no longer be able to use mixers to disguise where funds come from 🕵️‍♀️. Users who prefer self-custody but use CEXes for transactions would also be detected, as providers will have to report to big brother.

MetaMask integrates PayPal

U.S. users can now buy Ethereum directly from the Metamask wallet using PayPal. The upgrade only applies to mobile devices, as the desktop extension allows users to use Wyre, MoonPay, and Transak. However, the team has hinted 😋 that the desktop version will also integrate PayPal in the coming months. As with every transaction, MetaMask pockets 1% for itself, as well as PayPal. Will Apple demand its 30%🤪? Metamask declined to comment.

Gemini clients experience fishing attacks

Up to 5.6 million users are affected🤪. Gemini stated that the leak of emails and phone numbers was due to a bug from a third-party vendor. They wouldn't say who was responsible🧐. However, they've published a list of recommendations. No funds or account information was exposed. However, Gemini went offline again briefly after the incident.

Magic Eden introduces Reward program

First, it re-enforces royalties, and now Magic Eden is adding to it. With Rewards, users can create accounts in all wallets and earn rewards in Magic Points for secondary transactions. In other words, Magic Eden rewards 🤑 users for trading NFTs. The higher you're in trading, the more perks you get, including drops, exclusive content, and discounts 💸. Magic Eden also plans to introduce a dynamic fee model, meaning that the amount creators and traders pay for transactions will depend on their activity in the marketplace.

Conclusion: The market is falling today, and I hope your mood holds. We should be prepared for strict regulations and be happy if some companies encourage our behavior, as Magic Eden did with the Rewards program. But don't forget that they do it in their own interest.

See you tomorrow, folks! Thanks for being with us.Brought to you by Maksym, Yana, and Aleksandar :)
