Australian Federal Police Rolls Out Dedicated Crypto Unit
Do you think it will help? The Australian Federal Police has set up a dedicated unit for tracing and seizing cryptocurrency linked 🔎 to criminal activity, operating as part of its Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce (CACT).
The national manager of the CACT, Stefan Jerga, stated that the taskforce felt a standalone team was necessary to tackle the growing 📈 use of crypto by criminals, “rather than a lot of officers picking up some of this skill set as part of their overall role.”

The marketplace is accessible from the LG home screen 📺 and enables people to buy, sell, and trade non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from the comfort of their homes. Good luck to them.
Reserve Bank of India preparing to trial a CBDC with public sector banks and fintechs
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is in talks with fintech companies and state-controlled banks about a trial run of a central bank digital currency (CBDC). An unnamed public sector bank official told says the trial ⚖️ may precede an RBI launch of a CBDC this fiscal year. U.S.-based FIS is reportedly participating. FIS announced the launch of its CBDC Virtual Lab on Aug. 25. Interesting to see how this will end.
Netflix bans crypto commercials on ad-based streaming service
Desperate to boost revenues, Netflix announced in July that it would be launching a cheaper subscription tier that features commercials. Now, streaming giant Netflix has reportedly banned ⚖️ cryptocurrency-related commercials on its ad-supported subscription tier, which is scheduled to launch in November, months ahead of schedule.
All in all, Netflix has decided to reject all advertising campaigns related to politics, gambling, and cryptocurrency 💱 on its new subscription tier. Oops, things are very bad.
Liz Truss, who said UK 'should welcome cryptocurrencies' will be the next prime minister
A nice promotion. Winning the election to be Conservative Party leader with 57.4% of the vote from members compared to Rishi Sunak’s 42.6%, Liz Truss will be the next U.K. prime minister. Truss advocated for an anti-regulatory approach to digital assets, saying in 2018 that the U.K. 🗯 “should welcome cryptocurrencies in a way that doesn't constrain their potential.” She also launched a digital trade network in 2020 that promotes fintech firms, among other measures.
Nigeria, Binance in early-stage talks for crypto-friendly economic zone
That's a great idea. The Nigerian government has held a preliminary meeting with crypto exchange 💱 Binance to potentially establish a special economic zone aimed at supporting crypto and blockchain-related businesses.
According to a Friday post from the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), the authority has held preliminary talks with Binance and technology infrastructure company Talent City to discuss the proposed digital city, referred to as a “Virtual Free Zone.” NEPZA managing director Adesoji Adesugba said 🗯 the proposed zone will be a first in West Africa and act similar to Dubai’s virtual zones.
Conclusion: Despite the rather quiet market and against all odds, Luna classics and their stablecoin are showing phenomenal growth. One should be as careful as possible with this asset. If you've made a profit, close the deal. Don't be greedy.
Thanks for coming, see you soon ;) Brought to you by Maksym, Mariia, and Svyat :)
