Huobi turns profitable

As much as we agonize when job cuts occur, they actually can improve the overall result ๐Ÿ“ˆ In Huobi's case, it's as much as $30 million in profit in the first quarter of 2023. Our favorite, Justin Sun, who is the de facto owner of Huobi, announced even bigger targets for the second quarter, $110 million in profit. The company becomes profitable, but it's actually the cut people's salaries that won the day. ๐Ÿ˜…

Buy crypto with MetaMask

The new feature allows users to buy crypto with fiat using various payment methods such as credit and debit cards, as well as bank transfers directly through the Portfolio DApp. Users from more than 189 countries can buy up to 90 different tokens across different blockchains. ๐ŸŒ However, you can't outrun the law. Location and local regulations are taken into account to ensure the process is legally compliant. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โœˆ๏ธ

Ticket to Shiba Inu metaverse

Not there yet, but we'll all be by the end of 2023. Now we can start preparing for the journey. Are you ready to become a Shiba Inu-themed self? ๐Ÿ• The developers are sure it'll be a great experience. Of course it'll be, with all the top dogs running around. But not just running. Each of us should contribute to the economy of the meta-world. The simplest examples would be buying land and renting it out or collecting resources in the game. We'll see. See you there? ๐Ÿ‘‹

Tether barks, gets barked at

Tether blacklisted an address that drained MEV bots for $25 million. The wallet of the attacker has about 3 million USDT in it. ๐Ÿ’ธ But now that this address is blacklisted, the wallet owner cannot move these coins. However, the address still has $14.3 million in WETH and $3.6 million in other crypto assets in the same wallet, so the cryptocurrency community member is hardly at risk. Reportedly, if not stopped, Tether will block the addresses of bona fide USDT users after this and will censor for any reason. ๐Ÿง

Ripple rocks in Montenegro

Not only things like catching Do Kwon happen in Montenegro. Ripple announced a major collaboration with the government to create an unspecified national digital currency, or CBDC. ๐Ÿ‘พ Stablecoin, designed to undermine the euro, a fiat currency introduced in 2002, even though Montenegro isn't part of the Eurozone. Yes, you got that right: Instead of printing a national fiat currency, Montenegro is joining forces to create a crypto stablecoin, although a government-controlled one. To add, Ripple said it's been in talks with dozens of central banks all over the world on CBDCs. ๐Ÿคฒ

Argentina approves bitcoin futures index

No less than the first regulated bitcoin futures index in Latin America. ๐Ÿ” Basically, the Bitcoin futures contract depends on the price of BTC on different exchanges in Argentina where you can trade BTC/ARS. When you make trades, you gotta pay with the country's regular money, and you need to deposit some Argentine pesos through a bank transfer. The new bitcoin futures index will be a legal way for experienced investors to get into BTC in a safe and clear environment. ๐ŸŒณ The regulator has also instructed the exchanges to post warnings informing investors about the risks associated with these financial products.

Binance.US delists Tron

Apparently, the matter of the SEC lawsuit against Tron and its founder Justin Sun is serious. ๐Ÿฅต However, trading will still be possible until April 18. TRX fell sharply after this news. Since then, it has recovered some points. For their part, Binance.US said Tron is no longer living up to their high standards, and the exchange needs to adjust to the current regulatory situation. ๐Ÿค“ Tron spokesperson said that it's in talks with the exchange. Justin Sun stood out by saying that it's a relatively small loss for Tron as TRX's trading volume on Binance.US is less than $2 million per day, while TRX's current trading volume is $400 million per day.

Twitter launches crypto trading

Musk had this idea of turning Twitter into a "super app" ๐Ÿ’ช where people could use various online services all in one place. And guess what? Twitter is now teaming up with fintech company eToro to allow users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies and stocks! This new feature builds on the previous joint "Cashtags" feature that displays real-time trading info from TradingView. All you have to do is click on the "View on eToro" tab, and you'll be redirected to eToro's trading platform. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Conclusion: Ethereum's grand breakthrough with the Shanghai hard fork could certainly blind us all. Especially since we finally see ETH break through the 2K ceiling. But let's still pay attention to how much is happening outside the US after the hard grip on crypto. Two areas stand out - Latin America and Asia. Packing your bags already?

See you next week, folks! Thanks for being with us.Brought to you by Maksym, Yana, and Aleksandar :)
