Binance and Mastercard will launch prepaid crypto cards in Argentina
"Payments is one of the first and most obvious use cases for crypto, yet adoption has a lot of room to grow,β π¬ said Maximiliano Hinz. Major crypto exchange Binance has partnered with Mastercard to launch a prepaid card for the residents of Argentina.

The card will allow its clients in Argentina to use Bitcoin (BTC), BNB and other cryptocurrencies to make purchases πΈ as well as ATM withdrawals in fiat wherever Mastercard is accepted β roughly 90 million merchants globally and online. Argentine cardholders can also earn up to 8% back in cryptocurrency from certain purchases. Interesting to see if it will be in demand.
Meta enables Instagram NFT integration in over 100 countries
Do they really think someone will use it? Mark Zuckerberg-led company has begun its nonfungible token (NFT) expansion across 100 countries π in Africa, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas.
This includes adding support for wallet connections with Coinbase Wallet and Dapper as well as the ability to post digital collectibles minted on the Flow blockchain. One needs to simply connect their digital wallet to Instagram to post an NFT.
Twitter takes Binance to court

Slope wallet stored customers' seed phrases as plain text
Otter cybersecurity experts π₯ have discovered new details in the history of the Slope wallet hack. It turns out that Slope stored users' seed phrases as plain text, without any encryption. They sent this information to a centralized server that they rented from Sentry.

There are also another 5,300 private keys on the server that were not victims of the exploit. Almost half of them own tokens. Oh well, is it really all that primitive?
CME Group plans to launch euro-denominated Bitcoin and Ether futures
Major derivatives marketplace Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group π± aims to launch trading for Bitcoin euro and Ether euro futures contracts starting on Aug. 29. CME Group said that, being subject to regulatory review, it plans to launch π contracts for euro-denominated Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) futures that will be sized at 5 BTC and 50 ETH per contract.
Both contracts will be listed on CME, cash-settled, and based on the CME CF Bitcoin-Euro Reference Rate and CME CF Ether-Euro Reference Rate. Admit it, who is already intrigued?
Portuguese banks shutting crypto accounts citing risk management concerns
Several large banks in Portugal have reportedly begun closing π the accounts of cryptocurrency exchanges due to "risk management" concerns, suggesting a shift in Portugal's pro-crypto position. The country's central bank appears to have given the financial institutions the green light to take action.

Several of Portugal's top banks recently closed the accounts of CriptoLoja, the country's first cryptocurrency exchange to obtain a license to operate. According to a Bloomberg report, at least four domestic cryptocurrency πΈ exchanges have seen their accounts shut by BCP (Banco Comercial Portugues), Santander Bank, Caixa Geral de DepΓ³sitos, BiG and Abanca.
